Curriculum
Glenthorne High School is an A Level and Vocational Level 3 school.  We consider our curriculum to be the best preparation for university, apprenticeships and the world of work. The Sixth Form offers students the opportunity to study at advanced level in a friendly, supportive environment and to participate in a wide range of enriching activities.

Academic work forms the inner core of our activities in the Sixth Form. The majority of students will study 3 A Levels or 2 vocational qualifications. To look at the broad range of course we offer, please click on the A Level and BTEC course booklet links to the right.

Supporting academic work and progression pathways, are several other areas of the Sixth Form and these are found in the first ‘ring’; around our academic core. More details can be found in the ‘Additional Courses’ booklet.

Our outer core is our ‘Widening Horizons’ programme.  This develops personal interests and provides expectations relevant to university and career opportunities as well as ensuring that our students leave as confident, well-rounded and balanced young adults.
