Glenthorne Celebrates Record-Breaking GCSE Results

Students and staff at Glenthorne High School are celebrating a truly exceptional set of GCSE results, with this year's cohort achieving the best results in the school's history.

An outstanding 52% of all grades were awarded at Grades 7-9, with over 15% awarded at Grade 9. These remarkable outcomes establish this as the highest-performing GCSE cohort the school has ever seen.

There were particularly exceptional results in the core subjects of English and Mathematics. Science results were also strong with over 75% of grades in Biology, Chemistry and Physic being awarded at grade 7-9.

We are incredibly proud of every student receiving their results today. Whether securing the very highest grades, overcoming personal challenges, or making significant progress from their starting points, each student has achieved something worthy of celebration and that reflects our school ethos of ‘Achievement for All’

As students now prepare for the next stage of their educational journey, including many progressing to Glenthorne Sixth Form, we congratulate them on all they have accomplished and wish them every success for the future.
