Important Dates 2026–2027
Results Date
GCE Results 2026: Thursday 13th August 2026 - Year 13 students are invited to come and collect their results from the school between 08:00 – 10:00. Students should enter the school via the A217 gate and they will be directed to the collection venue. Any GCE results not collected on 13th August 2026 will be posted.
Year 12 students are also welcome to come and collect their EPQ, Core Maths and BTEC External Assessment results on Thursday 13th August 2026 between 10:00 – 12:00. Any Y12 results not collected on that day will not be posted but will be distributed to students at the start of term in September.
GCSE Results 2026: Thursday 20th August 2026 - Year 11 are invited to come and collect their results between 09:00 to 13:00. Students should enter the school via the A217 gate and they will be directed to the collection venue. Enrolment for the 6th form will take place immediately after results have been collected.
Post-Results Deadlines 2026
We hope that you will be pleased with your results, but if there are any concerns, it is important that you are aware of the key dates for post results services. To help you to make decisions about post results enquiries, please refer to the Post Results Flowchart which can be found under the Regulations and Exam Procedures heading below. Further information on costs will be provided in results envelopes and can also be found in the Information on Post Results Services 2026 document under the Regulations and Exam Procedures heading below.
Wednesday19th August 2026 – Deadline for priority reviews of marking for GCE A Level subjects, especially where a university place is at stake.
Wednesday 26th August 2026 – Deadline for requesting priority copies of GCE A Level scripts to help students to decide if they want to proceed with a review of marking.
Wednesday 2nd September 2026 - Deadline for requesting priority copies of GCSE scripts to help students to decide if they want to proceed with a review of marking.
Wednesday 23rd September 2026 - Deadline for requesting reviews of marking for both GCSE & A Level. This is also the deadline date for requesting copies of scripts for teaching and learning.
Summer Certificate Collection 2026
Summer 2026 exams: Please note that certificates will not be posted.
There will be an opportunity for students who have left Glenthorne to come and collect their certificates, usually on the on the afternoon of the last Wednesday of the winter term, which this year will be on the afternoon of Wednesday 16th December 2026. As this event will be in QE2, please email Mrs Bailey, the 6th Form Administrator, (cby@glenthorne.sutton.sch.uk) to let her know if you will be attending.
If you are not able to make the collection date on Wednesday 16th December 2026, certificates can still be collected from the Exams Office after that date. Please do not just turn up hoping to collect certificates. Instead. please contact the school’s Exams Office by email (exams@glenthorne.sutton.sch.uk) to arrange a convenient time for you to come and collect your certificates.
If you are returning to study at Glenthorne, you will be kept informed by the Exams Office and your Tutors of the arrangements for collection of your certificates in December.
Summer 2027 Exam Season
The Summer 2027 exam season begins on Monday 10th May 2027. GCSE examinations continue until Friday 18th June 2027 and A-Level examinations continue until Tuesday 22nd June 2027.
Whilst individual students at Glenthorne may finish earlier than these dates, we must make you aware that Exam Boards have designated Wednesday 23rd June 2027 as a ‘contingency day’ for exams. As a result, we have been asked to inform all candidates that "they must remain available until Wednesday 23rd June 2027 should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan” in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the UK.
