Important Dates 2025–2026

Results Date

GCE Results 2026: Thursday 13th August 2026 – Year 13 are invited to come and collect their results from the school Hall from 08:00 – 10:00.  Any GCE results not collected on 13th August 2026 will be posted.

Year 12 are also welcome to come and collect their EPQ, Core Maths and BTEC External Assessment results on Thursday 14th August 2025 from 10:00 – 12:00. Any Y12 results not collected on that day will not be posted but will be distributed to students at the start of term in September.

 

GCSE Results 2026: Thursday 20th August 2026 – Year 11 are invited to come and collect their results from the school Hall from 09:00 to 13:00. Enrolment for the 6th form will take place immediately results have been collected on 20th August.

Post-Results Deadlines 2026

We hope that you will be pleased with your results, but if there are any concerns, it is important that you are aware of the key dates for post results services. Further information on costs will be provided in results envelopes and can also be found in the Information on Post Results Services 2025 document under the Regulations and Exam Procedures heading below.

Thursday 20th August 2026 – Deadline for priority reviews of marking for GCE A Level subjects, especially where a university place is at stake.

Thursday 27th August 2026 – Deadline for requesting priority copies of GCE A Level scripts to help students to decide if they want to proceed with a review of marking.

Thursday 3rd September 2026 - Deadline for requesting priority copies of GCSE scripts to help students to decide if they want to proceed with a review of marking.

Thursday 24th September 2026 - Deadline for requesting reviews of marking for both GCSE & A Level. This is also the deadline date for requesting copies of scripts for teaching and learning.

Further details on procedures and costs will be given out in results envelopes and will be posted here in August.

Summer Certificate Collection 2026

Summer 2026 exams: Please note that certificates will not be posted.

There will be an opportunity for students who have left Glenthorne to come and collect their certificates, usually on the afternoon of the last Wednesday of the winter term, which this year will be Wednesday 16th December 2026 from 2.15pm – 3.30pm. As this event will be in QE2, please email Mrs Bailey, the 6^th Form Administrator, (cby@glenthorne.sutton.sch.uk) to let her know if you will be attending.

If there is any change to this date, it will be given out in results envelopes and will be posted here in August.

If you are not able to make the collection date, certificates can still be collected from Miss Perham the Exams Officer, after the given date. Please do not just turn up hoping to collect certificates. Instead, please contact the school’s Exams Office by email (exams@glenthorne.sutton.sch.uk) to arrange a convenient time for you to come and collect your certificates.

If you are returning to study at Glenthorne, you will be kept informed of the arrangements to collect your certificates in December by the Exams Office and your Tutors.

Summer 2026 Exam Season

The Summer 2026 exam season begins on Thursday 5th May 2026.  GCSE examinations continue until Wednesday 17th June 2026 and A-Level examinations continue until Thursday 18th June 2026.

Whilst individual students at Glenthorne may finish earlier than these dates, we must make you aware that Exam Boards have designated Wednesday 24th June 2026 as a ‘contingency day’ for exams. As a result, we have been asked to inform all candidates that "they must remain available until Wednesday 24th June 2026 should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan” in the event of national or significant local disruption to examinations in the UK.
