2023 GCSE Results

The nervous wait for this year’s GCSE and BTEC results is finally over! The challenges faced by this year 11 cohort over the past few years have been immense. In spite of the disruption experienced to their learning in year 9 and 10, the return to pre-COVID grade boundaries this year and the removal of exam board concessions, we are extremely proud to announce that our pupils have achieved exceptional results. Not only is their attainment well above the 2023 national averages on all measures, but they have also significantly exceeded both the 2019 national averages and the results achieved in 2019 by GHS pupils, the last cohort to sit public exams before the pandemic. This is an incredible achievement and a testament to their resilience, commitment and full engagement with the support and guidance provided by our exceptionally talented and dedicated staff.

There were in total 52 entries for BTECs across Level 2 and 1 (6 entries at L1). Of the Level 2 entries, 2% achieved D*, 26% achieved D+, 40% achieved M+ and 100% achieved P+.
