Curriculum Aims:

  • To develop an imaginative and creative pupil who is able to solve real life problems through the application of design combined with practical skills and knowledge.

  • To deliver an exciting, rigorous and practical curriculum that allows learners to develop key practical skills whilst embedding cross-curricular knowledge from both Art, History and STEM subjects – culminating in outstanding practical outcomes.

  • To enable pupils to have an awareness of the environment and how we as users, consumers and designers can impact the environment with the product/food choices we design and make.

  • To develop pupils’ resilience in their learning, to ensure that pupils feel confident enough to take risks in their practical work and are not afraid to make mistakes
